Abstract

This review article aims at analyzing the pioneering work Jamiaat mein Urdu tehqeeq raising various issues regarding evaluation criteria, unplanned topics, already occupied advisors and above all the entire output of the literary research carried out in 81 universities all the over world. The article also highlights the reasons behind the unsound Urdu literary research. The article covers that almost all the thesis of Urdu gone unnoticed from the real evaluation like the renowned researcher of Urdu literature Qazi Abdul Wadood, who was widely known for his blunt views, used to do. The article writer seconds the point of view of Prof Rafiuddin Hashmi that the thesis of Urdu literature must be passed through the process of Wadoodi style of evaluation.
