Abstract

This article presents unpublished letters of Maulana Syed Abul A’la Muadudi wrote to Chaudhary Ghulam Muhammad who was close companion of Maulana. Maulana and Chaudhary Muhammed Ali had friendly relations before Jamaat-e Islami came into being in 1941. Maulana did really his utmost for his cause for the Muslims of the subcontinent in his entire life. In letters, he also focused things for the cause. These letters are detailed because the matters discussed therein were close to Maulana’s heart. Otherwise, Maulana would send brief response to those whose subjects did not attract Maulana’s attention. In the beginning, the writer shared details about books and collections containing letters of Maulana already published. The article provides details about personalities emerged in the letters.
