This article critically examines the rare Persian manuscript copy of the Bayāz/jung, historically attributed to Sirajuddin Ali Khan Arezo (1687-1756), preserved in the Islamic Consultative Assembly Library, Tehran(: Majles-e Showrā-ye Eslāmī) Tehran. Arriving at a conclusion based on credible evidence, the article writer expresses his unwillingness to accept it as work of Arezo as it has many typographical errors and discrepancies which the poet and prose writer like Arezo was not supposed to do. Upon sharing his understanding, the article writer mentioned that by Arezo prepared the Bayāz/jung before his work Tazkira-e Majmaun Nafais but Tehran manuscript is not same Bayaz.May be the scriber prepared this Bayaz based on Majmaun Nafais. The biographers of Arezo have little discussed about this Bayaz. The article has nothing to say how it went to Iran from the Subcontinent but it highlighted things to share that this 71-page manuscript was handwritten in the Subcontinent to include the works of 88 poets.
