This article presents brief biography and viewpoint on classical Persian in the subcontinent by the renowned research and editor of many Urdu definite texts Rasheed Hasan Khan based mostly on his published and unpublished letters. Rasheed Hasan Khan has rightly mentioned in his letters that the Persian poetical works of Ghalib remained undiscussed to some extent as one may say for the Persian poetical works of Allama Shibli. Khan has edited the Persian work of Allama Shibli in which his unique uses of metaphors and similes have been praised by the editor. In defence of the Subcontinents’ researchers as many Iranian researchers criticised their works, Khan critically analysed the work of Khaqani culminated in two volumes by a known editor Agha e Ali Abdul Rasool in which Khan pointed out that Rasool said in his preface that he used many manuscripts while editing the work of Khaqani but the editor did not mention the details of manuscripts he used which is against the principles of research. Article mentions many editing errors pertaining to meters.
