Abstract

Young Syed Abul Aala Mawdudu witnessed how the Ottoman Sultanate came to end. Since then he tried his best to inform the Muslim communities of the sub-continents and abroad what had happened to the Ottomans and inculcate the concept of umma in the hearts of his audiences. The Ottomans were criticized by the European countries and they started blame game. This article aims at explaining what Syed Mawdudi did by translating texts in order to provide a vivid picture to his audiences. Muhammad Ali Johar played an important role in the subcontinent to aware the Muslim communities about the atrocities of the European contraries. Mazameen-e Muhammad Ali (vol.I) compiled in recognition of Muhammad Ali Johar by Syed Muhammad Jafri has a forward which is a testimony of how Syed Mawdudi admired him. The article contains many relevant primary sources on its subject.
