عبد الرحیم خانِ خاناں: یاد داشت اورمہرسے مزیّن کنز العمال کا ایک مخطوطہ
Abstract
This article introduces the rare manuscript of KanzulAmmal by Shaikh Ali Muttaqi presently housed in the well-stocked library of Bukhara, Uzbekistan. The manuscript has the stamp and notes in Arabic language written by AbdurRaheem Khan-e Khanan (1554-1626) as he used to write his remarks on each book entered in his library revealing Khanan knew Arabic language. He respected Islamic scholars and vice versa; held scholarly sittings in his house meant to discuss books; got the text of book prepared for himself and his friends; and distributed books among his friends. The article provides Urdu translation of the remarks of Khanan contained. Khanan is said to hold a personal library containing thousands of books. Some of the manuscript housed in his library have so far been surfaced. The article gives images of Khanan’s stamps and his remarks on the manuscript in the end.
